Music Pictures is a major international image library serving professional image buyers and media businesses all over the world.

We wrote and maintain the entire infrastructure using Linux, Cisco IOS, Oracle 10G, PHP, Python, Django, MS Access, Visual Basic, ADO, Windows Terminal Services, Java, Asterisk and Postfix

DISMARC User Interface Design

DISMARC (Discovering Music Archives) is a European Union project that aggregates the catelogues of Europes sound archives.

We were asked by the project leaders (RBB) to design and implement the web browser user interface in collboration with themselves. We involved our design partner Heldish, and a local photographer and produced an original design which reflects the archive atmosphere. Infact, the elements were all photographed in one of the participating archives. Thanks to the Darlhem Ethnological Museam

Technically we produced valid HTML and CSS and then implemented these designs in Smarty templates (PHP) in collboration with AIT in Austria.

Eviscape

Eviscape is a web 2.0 community project currently in development.

For this project we use Postgres, Python and Django and Linux.

Propxt

Propxt is the brand name for our image management software as used by musicpictures.com

We implemented the Propxt web site using Plone, a powerful Content Management system written in Python.

High Flyers Careers

High Flyers Careers is India's first professional Flight Deck Crew leasing Organization, specialising primarily in Flight Deck Crew placements, working together with Airline companies worldwide for Commercial Airlines.

High Flyers Careers uses a Postgres database and Django (Python) web application server

Digipics

Digipics is part of the Propxt image management suit providing a full accounts package and a sophisticated image rights system.

It is written in Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and ADO and talks to an Oracle 10G database.

The application runs on Microsoft Terminal Services so users have access from the office or home using a Virtual Private Network for security.

Horizon

Horizon is part of the Propxt image management suite. It is a sophisticated batch picture upload and captioning tool used by photographers and agencies all over the world.

Technically it comprises a front end written in Java and an XML/RPC server written in Python. The Java client makes use of the Java Web Start framework which makes installation relatively painless.

Photographers can upload thier images from their computer or laptops at festivals.

Quality Management Consultancy

Quality Management is an important part of any large software project. We were asked by Radio Berlin (RBB) to contribute to the Quality Management of a large EU project they are leading called DISMARC.

As well as producing an original document for internal use and submission to the EU, we met with other technical partners (including AIT in Austria) and advised the project leaders.
