Music Pictures

Music Pictures is a major international image library serving professional image buyers and media businesses all over the world.

We wrote and maintain the entire infrastructure using Linux, Cisco IOS, Oracle 10G, PHP, Python, MS Access, Visual Basic, ADO, Windows Terminal Services, Java, Asterix and Postfix

Music Pictures uses the full suit of Propxt software:

  1. Picarus - A PHP based web site including controlled image download. PHP communicates with the database using stored procedures for security and performance.
  2. Horizon - A Java based photographers upload tool.
  3. Digipics - A Microsoft Access back office tool for library and accounts management.
  4. Sysiphus - A Python based image processing system
  5. Calypso - A Django based set of administration pages.
  6. Atlas - This is the heart of the system which makes extensive use of Oracle 10G PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers and search technology.

We also manage the VPN's (within Berlin and between London and Berlin) using Cisco IOS and telephone system using Asterix

We recently implemented the Flash animation as designed by Heldisch.
