We are providing programming, system administration and project management services.
Twinity
We provided Ruby on Rails programming for their web platform.
David Redfern
The site uses the TESOBE Pics CMS which is written in Django and Python with a Postgres database. The CMS allows the owner of the website to change the content easily.
The website allows users to order limited edition photographic prints.
Studdex
studdex is a study abroad portal that allows students to find courses all over the world and apply for them online.
We have been supporting the studdex internal programming team onsite. The core technologies are C♯, the .net framework, CSS, HTML and Visual Studio with the test and production systems running on Mono / Linux.
We setup SVN, Trac, Selenium and NUnit for automated testing, and introduced LINQ for SQL as an ORM to the Oracle 10G database. Linux system administration tasks also included secure tunnels for inter-site communication. We developed a new major section of the site which included PayPal API integration.
Next Nine Days
Next Nine Days shows popular musical events for a city over the next 9 days. It was originally developed at the Music Hack Day in Berlin in September 2009. It is a Python / Django project and consumes the last.fm and musicpictures.com API's.
Music Pictures
We wrote and maintain the entire infrastructure using Linux, Cisco IOS, Oracle 10G, PHP, Python, MS Access, Visual Basic, ADO, Windows Terminal Services, Java, Asterix and Postfix.
Land
We implemented Land using Django, Python, Postgres, JQuery, Mootools, Memcached and Apache.
The design was produced by Heldisch in collaboration with the client and ourselves.
JVHS-Archive
We implemented the site using JQuery, Javascript and the RESTful Eviscape API (which is Django powered). The datastore is Eviscape.
The site CSS was designed by a design partner Robert Siegel.
Propxt
We implemented the Propxt web site using Plone, a powerful Content Management system written in Python.
High Flyers Careers
High Flyers Careers uses a Postgres database and Django (Python) web application server.
Eviscape
We implemented this Web 2.0 community project using Postgres, Python, Django, JQuery, Mootools and Linux.
Digipics
It is written in Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and ADO and talks to an Oracle 10G database.
The application runs on Microsoft Terminal Services so users have access from the office or home using a Virtual Private Network for security
Horizon
Horizon is part of the Propxt image management suite. It is a sophisticated batch picture upload and captioning tool used by photographers and agencies all over the world.
Technically it comprises a front end written in Java and an XML/RPC server written in Python. The Java client makes use of the Java Web Start framework which makes installation relatively painless.
Photographers can upload their images from their computer or laptops at festivals.
Quality Management Consultancy
As well as producing an original document for internal use and submission to the EU, we met with other technical partners (including AIT in Austria) and advised the project leaders
Dismarc
We were asked by the project leaders (RBB) to design and implement the web browser user interface in collaboration with themselves. We involved a design partner Heldish, together with Berlin photographer Andi Zant and produced an original design which reflects the archive atmosphere. In fact, the elements were all photographed in one of the participating archives. Thanks to the Dahlem Ethnological Museum.
We produced HTML and CSS and implemented the designs in Smarty templates (PHP) in collaboration with AIT in Austria.
